A project of almost 30 years to recreate one of the most important and iconic pre war racing cars; the result of which is a tool room copy, a special, using original parts, specifications and techniques wherever possible.
🇬🇧 An exact tool room recreation of Parry Thomas’ first multi record breaking Leyland Special, the original having captured 15 world land speed records and made motor racing history at Brooklands, Montlhéry and elsewhere. Featuring the genuine record breaking back axle of the original special, the very first 7.2 litre racing engine Parry Thomas used, many genuine and period instruments, exact specification gearbox ratios. Recognised by the Leyland Society and VSCC, road registered as a Leyland Eight. Complete with numerous rare, period spares including wheel set with Blockley tires. The modern incarnation has made many appearances at Brooklands (where it resides in the Brooklands Museum), Goodwood Festival of Speed, Chateau Impney and Kop Hill.
